The Instituto Cervantes offers comprehensive Spanish language courses aimed at developing students’ ability to understand, speak, read and write in Spanish. All our teachers, whose mother tongue is Spanish, are university qualified and use the most up-to-date teaching methods. Our special courses are taught by experts in their fields.
The Instituto Cervantes’ general Spanish language courses are divided into five levels, according to the Common European Framework: Beginners, Pre-Intermediate, Intermediate, Advanced and Higher. Spanish language courses last from one week to several months, depending on students’ needs. You can choose from intensive Spanish courses lasting two weeks, crash courses of one week, or have your Spanish lessons once or twice a week. Our Spanish classes can be taken during the daytime, evening or on Saturdays. The Instituto Cervantes can also arrange private tuition and in-house corporate training schemes for businesses that require Spanish-speaking staff.
In addition to general Spanish language courses, the Instituto Cervantes in London also offers a variety of specialised classes such as translation, business Spanish, conversational Spanish, legal Spanish, Spanish and Latin American literature, classes for children as well as preparation courses for the DELE diploma, GCSE, AS level and A2 level exams. Students of Spanish can also enjoy learning through our special theatre classes, and learn traditional Spanish dance with our flamenco classes.
The Instituto Cervantes also offers students the opportunity to learn Spanish online, studying in the comfort of their own home at a pace to suit each individual. The Instituto Cervantes’ virtual classroom (AVE) offers a complete course covering all levels, beginner to higher. It contains more than 10,000 interactive exercises and activities. Students can learn either with or without an online tutor.
